writing while waiting.
Mood:  caffeinated
Now Playing: The Eagles
Topic: writing

My manuscript CROSSING THE LINES has been with an agent in New York for over a week. She asked for a 4 week exclusive read.  I should know if she wants to represent the novel by the first week in April. I'm so excited and maybe a little anxious. I started researching this agent and she is worth the wait. Even if she decides not to represent, just the fact that she read it is pretty cool to me. I have two other agents waiting for partials if she decides to pass.

I'm starting on other projects as a distraction, finishing some old and forgotten and getting new ideas on paper. I'm having a hard time letting go of CROSSING THE LINES, there is a lot of emotion wrapped up in it. I will miss writing the characters but it's a story I could write forever so I needed to draw the line somewhere.

Getting published can be a long bumpy road, but I just might get lucky! So far, the journey has been fun.

Reading is a great motivator to writing so I'm catching up. Ruby Holler is on my list (it's my son's..lol) and I'm going to go back in time and read the Dragon Riders of Pern Series. I loved them when I was much younger. My son  is hooked now.
